Known issues
No power
Eero wireless access points may fail to power on when using Alta Labs POE switches. This appears to be due to some non-standard POE requirements implemented by Eero, as well as other devices.
To resolve this, please ensure that the POE update has been applied to your switches.
- Unplug any devices being powered by PoE.
- Navigate to the Network tab
- Click the icon for the affected switch
- Switch to the Settings tab in the configuration card
- Apply the POE update under the Advanced section
This may take up to 20 minutes to complete, so please be patient. Due to the time it takes for it to apply and the recommendation to unplug devices that are powered by PoE, we do not automatically apply the update. Once finished, your Eero WAPs should power on as expected. If you still experience issues, please reach out to support@alta.inc or use the contact button in the right-hand sidebar of this page.
